We are looking for a highly motivated Lead Accounts Receivable. You will be playing an important role in our Accounting team, leading and developing the Accounts Receivable function as well as ensuring accurate revenue recognition, complete and timely collection of customer receivables and development of efficient and scalable processes and systems that enable our continued growth path.

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Lead and develop the accounts receivable function with ± six direct reports.
  • Ensure excellent day-to-day accounts receivable operations, including revenue recognition, payment reconciliation and cash collection.
  • Be responsible for accurate and timely monthly and annual financial statements in the area of accounts receivable accounting
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and evaluations for quality assurance and generation of insights for management, including preparation of relevant, high-quality reporting.
  • Implement, optimize, automate and monitor accounts receivable processes and internal controls.
  • Identify, lead and drive relevant strategic projects and topics.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders such as tax consultants and auditors.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, preferably in a fast-growing B2B tech, software, or SaaS environment.
  • Strong technical foundation in accounting, ideally in both German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, and proven experience in effectively setting up and managing especially revenue recognition and cash collection.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams. 
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management and analytics, with a hands-on approach, meticulous attention to detail and an instinct and ability to approach an issue holistically.
  • Ability to grasp both the finer details and the broader company-wide perspective.
  • Skill in prioritizing tasks effectively and maintaining a clear focus.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for building and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Workday Financials is a plus.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English and (preferably) German too.
