We're on the hunt for an exceptional Product Manager to change the perception of SIEM migration. Join our Elastic Security product team and focus on crafting seamless workflows for migrating customers from existing SIEM platforms to Elastic Security. Utilize Generative AI to redefine the migration process. As Senior Product Manager, SIEM Migration, reporting to the Director of Product Management for Security AI and ML, you'll be instrumental in shaping the product strategy and roadmap for Elastic Security. Your mission? To enable effortless migration of detection rules, queries, ingestion pipelines, operational workflows, dashboards, and visualizations to Elastic Security, drastically reducing migration time and effort. Dive into the realm of AI-powered SIEM and augment these workflows with the innovative capabilities of our Elastic AI Assistant.

Your Key Tasks will Include:

  • Leading the charge on go-to-market strategies for SIEM migration workflows.
  • Collaborating closely with our competitive intelligence team to prioritize features grounded in analytical insights.
  • Engaging directly with customers through visits, roadmap presentations, and other interactive activities.
  • Diving deep into user adoption patterns, understanding our target personas, and elucidating the unique value of Elastic products.
  • Developing, curating, and showcasing captivating content for product releases, executive briefings, blogs, and internal training.

Skills – You Are Capable of:

  • Balancing user needs for functionality, performance, and a seamless solution experience.
  • Leading and collaborating effectively with product managers, security researchers, engineers, data scientists, developers, and senior management.
  • Merging technical expertise with a keen understanding of user outcomes.
  • Applying your technical troubleshooting prowess across diverse scenarios.

Knowledge – You Possess a Deep Understanding of:

  • The landscape of legacy SIEM and modern Security Analytics platforms.
  • SIEM query languages, visualization tools, and data ingestion methodologies.
  • Cloud infrastructure from major providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • System engineering, data flow analysis, and the broader IT security operational landscape.
  • Current trends in technology and the cyber threat landscape.
  • Software development in an open-source environment (Git knowledge is a plus).

Experience – You Have a Proven Track Record of:

  • At least 5 years in security-related technical product management, competitive analysis, or technical marketing.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a related product development or technical field role.

Proficiency and Education – You Bring:

  • A zealous interest in cybersecurity and its evolving challenges.
  • An expert’s love for delving deep into subjects.
  • A meticulous attention to detail, coupled with an appreciation for the broader picture.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, embodying a collaborative spirit.
  • A BS/MS degree in engineering, computer science, or information security.

Location and Travel:

  • The ideal candidate will be based in the continental United States or Canada, though other locations may be considered.
  • Be prepared to travel up to 40% to support Elastic’s diverse global customer base.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
